Ride 4 gameplay7/15/2023 ![]() But just know that its going to kick you in the face before you have any fun.New gameplay footage of RIDE 4, played in first-person on a PlayStation 5, almost looks like camera footage of a real motorcycle race. If you ride or like bikes, this game is for you. I spent probably 50% of my time bored and thinking about other things, 30% raging, and 20% oohing and awing at the pretty bikes moving fast. RIDE 4 feels like they just added a bunch of stuff that takes a bunch of time to make it seem like you're getting your money's worth with game time. I feel like an arcade direction with customization maps is more my cup of tea (maybe even open world so we could filter through traffic). I think most riders are like me when they just want to load up the game and have fun riding their favorite motorcycles. I felt like I was always on a trampoline, no matter what I did the bike wouldn't stop bouncing and it's annoying. Back brake essentially an E-brake equivalent in a car. Also add music to the races so at least the farting can have an accompaniment. Most motorcycles in the game sound like a dude farting into a steel trash can. There's a million other reviews you could read about this one. And most mods mostly end up the same (Max engine, max brakes, most expensive tire, exhaust, and rims. It's confusing and there's no way to do dynos or anything to see if you made a difference to your performance. ![]() I would rather have suggested tunes than trying to tune a bike myself. I have no idea if changing gear ratios or suspension actually changed my gameplay so I ignored it. Plenty of customization* I'm not a mechanic, nor a racing tech. The game becomes so grueling because the races can be so long because you have to hit the 5 lap mark on a 5 minute map (25 minutes). Just because I spend more time racing doesn't mean its fun. MORE LAPS/GAMETIME DOES NOT EQUAL A BETTER RACE EXPERIENCE. up to 8hrs!) with no mistakes and no tutorial for pit stops which take time out of your race btw. It's a really cool concept except the part where you have to ride for an hour (or wayyyy more. ENDURANCE! F*** ENDURANCE AND EVERYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH IT. Sounds good until you realize it's just the same races over and over until the point you wanna put a pencil up your nose and take a permanent nap. Also I'm 40 hours in and barely even a 1/3 through the content. I don't want to spend 40 hours getting good when the point of owning a motorcycle is the fun of riding it. I want to sit down and have fun with a video game with cool bikes that I'll never afford in real like. I'm not a professional rider, nor will I ever be. Would like to see a weight slider for the rider in ride 5. I just think they didn't take to account the rider's weight so the person I'm controlling probably feels the physics much different than I would in real life. I've been riding for a long time and something just feels off. = DLC (Not really necessary to have fun, but there are lots of bikes behind a paywall) When I get to, it's really fun and I enjoy the game a lot. I'm a rider myself and all I want to do is ride cool bikes and drive fast. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this game.
